Lite Makers' tradition of excellence in custom lighting dates back to 1920, when Biaggio Iorio, an Italian metalworker from Naples, moved to the United States with his son, Phil. Phil Iorio began an apprenticeship with his father that would make him one of the most recognized master mechanics and pattern makers in the metalworking industry.

With decades of experience under his belt, Phil Iorio started Lite Makers Inc. in 1974 with his three sons, John, Gary, and Phil Jr. in a small 2,500 square foot facility in New York.

Lite Makers' ongoing commitment to superior craftsmanship, hard work and responsibility, along with a dedicated team of skilled designers and metalworkers, helped propel the company into a position as the leading custom lighting company in the New York area.

Today, Lite Makers' staff of over 20 workers operates out of our 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in Long Island City, New York. Some of our many high profile projects include the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Disney's Pantages Theater in Los Angeles.

Custom Lighting Design and Installation
Lite Makers is experienced in assisting clients with the functional and artistic aspects of the design process. Our designers can provide full size drawings of lighting products and our mechanics are skilled at assisting contractors in the installation.

Our versatile designs can accommodate a wide variety of styles from classic to contemporary. We are approved by the Land Mark Commission and the Commission of Fine Arts.

Restoration and Replication
With a greater interest in preserving historical lighting and architectural designs, Lite Makers Inc. offers expert restoration and reproduction of most forms of lighting.

Our services include cleaning, rewiring, modification, plating, refinishing and polishing. Our team of expert craftsmen always takes the utmost care to ensure the preservation of original fixtures. Often our finished restoration or reproduction is indistinguishable from the original.
